Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration:

Fire Damage

Fire is one of the most damaging forces regarding a home loss. Every area and all material that has been burnt, scorched or odorized must be removed, replaced or treated. Depending on the severity and temperature of the fire some of the materials in your home that are not flammable can still be damaged beyond repair. Counter tops, flooring and even your concrete foundation can crack and/or lose its structural integrity. Once these types of items lose their structural integrity they must either be replaced or assessed and repaired by a professional.

Smoke Odor and Soot Damage

Smoke can cause as much damage as fire because of its ability to penetrate every area of your home and create a lasting odor that is toxic. Even a small fire can result in smoke damage throughout your entire home. Having your home cleaned and treated after a fire is vital to restoring your home back to pre-loss condition. Smoke odor will linger and continue to cause damage long after the initial loss if not properly restored.

Water Damage Reconstruction:

Overview

Water damage is the most common home claim because of the amount of water sources in your home. It is important to contact a restoration company immediately after noticing water damage. The longer the affected material remains intact the more of a chance the damage will spread to unaffected areas. Water damage comes in a several degrees as there are different categories of water.

  • Clean Water- Clean water (tap/from a filtered source)
  • Grey Water- Non-toxic contaminated water
  • Black Water)- Toxic contaminated water (grossly contaminated)
Clean Water Damage

Clean or Filtered water damage is when a tap or filtered water source leaks. White water is the least likely to cause microbial growth (mold), but if not properly mitigated and acted upon, it can still cause severe damage.

After you notice the water damage it is vital to have a restoration expert assess the damage and remove warped/damaged material, treat affected material and reconstruct/replace the removed material.

Grey Water Damage

Grey Water is contaminated water coming from an unfiltered or untreated source. This type of water can cause significant damage because it is a non-toxic water when it initially leaks and if left untreated it quickly becomes “grossly contaminated” due to the bacteria present in the water.

The damaged material may need to be removed and the affected areas needs to be treated as fast as possible. People often make the mistake of waiting to have the damage assessed and addressed due to the non-toxic nature of the water. Within days and sometimes hours; toxic bacteria and microbial growth (mold) can begin to spread past the initially damaged area.

Black Water Damage

Black Water is water that typically originates from a sewer source or any other gross contaminant that is toxic to people and animals. Any material this water comes in contact with needs to be removed. This water contains harmful bacteria and if left untreated; can result in toxic microbial growth (mold) which will spread to other unaffected areas.

The affected materials need to be removed and replaced by professionals who have the experience, certification and capability to properly access the damage, removing the affected materials, treating the remaining materials and replacing/restoring the damaged areas. If this process is not done correctly you risk the eventual growth of harmful, toxic microbial growth (mold), further damage and lingering odor.

Storm/Physical Damage Reconstruction:

Storm and/or Physical Damage presents many obstacles which require a diverse and capable restoration company to properly handle your claim. Severe wind, rain, hail, earthquakes, a car crashing into your home and even a tree falling on your home can cause damage that needs demolition, mitigation, restoration and reconstruction.

Severe wind, rain, earthquakes and hail can damage to roofs, flood houses with debris, break windows and even damage foundations. Having the right restoration company with the resources to handle any type of loss will speed up the process and ensure your home is properly restored back to pre-loss condition.
